Elections for the Student Council 2025

The Student Council election will take place on Wednesday, April 2nd, and Thursday, April 3rd, 2025. Students from each field of study will vote for their representatives in the Student Council for a one-year term. The elections are electronic and will take place on Ugla. The voting system on Ugla will be open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2nd, and from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 3rd.

Two lists of candidates are running in all fields of study.

The Student Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 5:00 PM in room N-132, Askja.

According to Article 9 of the Student Council’s bylaws, council meetings are open to all University of Iceland students. These meetings are advertised among students, and all interested are welcome to attend.

Applications Open for the Third Allocation of the Student Fund

Applications are now open for the third allocation of the Student Fund this school year. You can apply for grants here until 14:00 PM on March 18th. We strongly encourage you to follow the instructions in the application form as thoroughly as possible, as any deviations from the rules may result in a dismissal of the application.

Before applying, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the Student Fund on the Student Council’s website, especially its laws and code of practice. Please note that diagnostic and maintenance grants will not be granted in this allocation.
